Sumatriptan


It is indicated to relieve the symptoms of acute attack of migraine. This attack may or may not be accompanied by the aura.
It should only be taken once the attack has started. Prophylactic use is not recommended. People having cardiovascular pathologies like prinzmetal's angina or Myocardial infarction (MI) should avoid it.
Dosage is 50 mg for adults as needed, however, some patients may need 100 mg dosage.

The underlying mechanism here is that the cell, if mistakenly, is dislodged from a particular location where its survival signals lie in its paracrine.
